Our story

From yesterday...

In 1986 a group of Political Science students at Luiss in Rome, inspired by the words of Marc Chatenier, president of a French Junior Enterprise, decided to try out the Junior Enterprise model in Italy. After a trip to France to learn about that world, in 1987 they founded the Junior Enterprise 3SL with the support of Banco di Roma. For about ten years 3SL was active in numerous projects and international collaborations, involving a large number of students. This led to the birth of the Italian Confederation of Junior Enterprises (CIJE, today JE Italy), founded with the aim of spreading the initiative across Italy.

JELU Consulting is the consulting firm run by the students of Luiss Guido Carli. Founded in 2016, today it offers strategic consulting services, working with some of the University’s best professors and backed by a broad, solid network of partners and alumni. The preparation of the students selected to join and the professional context they operate in allow JELU to bring value to its clients, growing together with them.

What is a “Junior Enterprise”?

A Junior Enterprise is a non-profit organisation run entirely by university students. It is organised like a company and works with a range of organisations (bodies, companies, institutions) in order to work with them or for them on different kinds of projects, across each Junior’s fields of expertise. They are part of a global network that keeps growing, with the shared aim of narrowing the gap between university and the world of work.
